Hydrosols are fragrant distilled waters that carry the properties of the plants used in the distillation process. All our toners and splashes are made from hydrosols. We never use alcohol or alcohol based astringents in any of our products.

DIGESTIVE BITTERS Natural Sleep Aid 2 oz DIGESTIVE BITTERS for Sleep and Good Digestion.

Our Digestive Bitters have proven themselves to be an excellent natural sleep aid when taken before going to bed. The Bitters have helped customers who have had difficulty falling asleep for years and it helps improve their digestion as a side benefit. If you have problems sleeping and are longing for a good nights’ rest we recommend a dropper, about 3ml to 5 ml, with water. The Bitters are also useful if you have eaten or drunk too much and will jump-start the digestive process making you more comfortable and helping sleep.

A modern busy life or the onset of the menopausal process can upset the metabolic system and make falling asleep at night difficult. DIGESTIVE BITTERS help encourage sleep by shifting the body from the thinking, or mind pole where wakefulness resides to the metabolic, or digestive pole, which encourages the body to give up the day and go to sleep.

Digestive Bitters come in a two-ounce dropper bottle in Brandy or a non-alcohol version in glycerin. ARTEMISIA OIL (Mugwort) Artemis was the Greek goddess of the hunt, small animals and the woodlands and, the goddess of childbirth, midwives and the protectress of infants and young girls. She ruled the Moon opposite her brother Apollo who ruled the sun. The silvery leaves of the Artemisia plant evoke the dream state and represent intuition, creativity and artistic pursuits. On a moonlit night, the white and silver leaves shimmer in the pale glow.

The traditional use of Artemisia, also called Mugwort is steeped in the traditions of the feminine. This stimulating oil helps relieve menstrual cramps and menopausal symptoms creating a sense of warmth and balance.

USE: Apply topically on areas experiencing cramping or discomfort to increase circulation or rub a light layer all over for a gently stimulate and warm the body. Traditionally, Artemisia oil was used to calm tremors.

CAUTION: Avoid Artemisia oil both internally and externally during pregnancy as the stimulating properties can interfere with the natural process.

Teas have antioxidants and tannins that help keep the skin in good repair and give the soap a dark herbal color, naturally. The scent is refreshing and exotic from a mix of fragrant Jasmine wax and essential oils of Cypress, Orange and Coriander. The soap is made with a variety of organic seed and nut oils and butters.
