And there’s a story behind this cream and the name Malta. Malta belonged to the four-legged group of earth beings, more specifically of the bovine group. She was a well-loved school cow. Malta lived permanently on a school farm in Santa Rosa California where a multitude of children, a dedicated farmer and an entire community of people cared for her. One day she got caught on a barbed wire fence and tore her flesh. The wound wouldn’t heal. The worried farmer called the vet who cleaned the wound and administered ointments but it just did not get better.

As members of the community and dedicated fans of Malta, we volunteered to create an ointment in the hopes of speeding her recovery and relieving her suffering. We created a cream made from clay to draw out the problem; aloe to sooth the area and herbal oils to stimulate tissue improvement. The wound got better and the area was left as good as new. Malta has since made the journey to the greenest pasture in the sky after a long life with exceptionally good skin but her legacy remains in this cream named after her.

Since its creation and success, many people, and animals, have enjoyed Malta’s cream and its soothing effects. We process our Rose Elixir for a minimum of six moths. Once the extraction is complete, we strain out the spent rose petals and infuse the elixir with Flower and Gem essences. The result: the taste of Pure Rose Essence infused with energetically active essences and naturally sweetened with clear glycerine.

Add Rose Elixir to pure water or mix with a fine clear vodka for a delightfully delicate cocktail. Add a few drops to your culinary favorites, a cup of tea or simply splash a few drops on the tip of your tongue.

You can even use it topically in a bath or as a warm compress to gently restore body and mind.

Rose Elixir contains Organic Rose extracts, vegetable glycerin, distilled water and organic grape alcohol with Flower Essences of Apothecary Rose, Cecil Brunner Rose, Rosa Mundi, Koningen van Daenmark, Kazanlik Rose and Gem essences of Rose Quartz and Gold.

Rooibos is a popular tea like beverage in Africa with many healthy attributes and Shea butter has many traditional uses from cooking to sun protection for the skin. Herbal St John's wort red oil helps soothe nerve issues in the skin. Each bar is a lovely brick red, lathers well and will last when kept out of standing water between uses. The soap is scented with an herbal mix of Coriander, Rosalina and Orange. Our Artisan soaps are made of 100% organic oils and pure essential oils.
