And there’s a story behind this cream and the name Malta. Malta belonged to the four-legged group of earth beings, more specifically of the bovine group. She was a well-loved school cow. Malta lived permanently on a school farm in Santa Rosa California where a multitude of children, a dedicated farmer and an entire community of people cared for her. One day she got caught on a barbed wire fence and tore her flesh. The wound wouldn’t heal. The worried farmer called the vet who cleaned the wound and administered ointments but it just did not get better.

As members of the community and dedicated fans of Malta, we volunteered to create an ointment in the hopes of speeding her recovery and relieving her suffering. We created a cream made from clay to draw out the problem; aloe to sooth the area and herbal oils to stimulate tissue improvement. The wound got better and the area was left as good as new. Malta has since made the journey to the greenest pasture in the sky after a long life with exceptionally good skin but her legacy remains in this cream named after her.

The white under sides of the leaves of Artemisia shimmer in the moonlight thus its association with dreams and intuition as well as artistic pursuits and creativity, that which happens unseen and ‘in the dark’.

Mugwort herb has been used traditionally for protection and magic. The leaves are bitter and aromatic enhancing digestion when used in small amounts. Feminine conditions such as menstrual cramps and menopause benefit from Artemisia; although it is not to be used internally during pregnancy as its stimulating and warming properties may interfere with the pregnancy. As the skin naturally regenerates, old dead skin cells build up leaving the complexion looking rough and uneven. EQUATORIAL MASQUE dissolves dead skin cells and impurities with active enzymes derived from pure topical fruit extracts leaving the skin soft and smooth. This refreshing mask tingles slightly as it goes to work exfoliating and brightening the skin.

USE: Apply a thin layer in a circular motion and leave on for five to seven minutes. Rinse with pure water and follow with toner and moisturizer.

ROSE ELIXIR 2 Oz A drop of Pure Rose to instill the heart with passion, infuse the soul with love and sweeten every moment.

We harvest rose petals at the peak of the summer season and drop them into pure naturally sweet glycerine. The glycerine draws the rose compounds from the flower petals and holds them suspended in a preserved state. As the months pass the clear glycerine gradually turns a deep rosy color. We process our Rose Elixir for a minimum of six moths. Once the extraction is complete, we strain out the spent rose petals and infuse the elixir with Flower and Gem essences. The result: the taste of Pure Rose Essence infused with energetically active essences and naturally sweetened with clear glycerine.

Add Rose Elixir to pure water or mix with a fine clear vodka for a delightfully delicate cocktail. Add a few drops to your culinary favorites, a cup of tea or simply splash a few drops on the tip of your tongue.

You can even use it topically in a bath or as a warm compress to gently restore body and mind.

The Shea Butter used by SOLUM&HERBE comes from the ADagomba Ah Shayh Women’s Cooperative in Ghana, where they harvest and process the nuts of the Shea tree in the traditional manner. This is a Fair Trade product. The wild grown Shea butter is combined with Organic carrier oils, Aloe and Lavender Hydrosol to produce a Body Cream that is more than 90% Organic or wild ingredients.
