CALENDULA SALVE 1 oz Calendula is an excellent herb to treat skin injuries including cuts, irritations, wounds, varicosities, rashes, insect bites, burns, dry skin and swellings. Extracts of Calendula have been shown to stimulate circulation in the skin and can help support the treatment of varicosities and phlebitis. The herb’s action is exceptionally gentle as well as effective and is useful for treating and healing diaper rash and cradle cap.
Calendula flowers are fungicidal as well as being antiseptic, antibacterial and astringent and contain many healing compounds; including saponins, carotenoids, lycopine, essential oil, a bitter principle, sterols, flavonoids, resin, mucilage, triterpene glycosides, aglycones, vitamin A and vitamin C. Calendula flower essence carries warmth and healing energies while Arnica flower essence helps to release trauma in injured tissue. Angelica essence provides a sense of protection and inner strength to aid the healing process.
