QUEEN OF HUNGARY’S WATER 4 oz QUEEN OF HUNGARY’S WATER A Toner for all skin types, is made from a variety of herbs macerated in a Witch hazel hydrosol and blended with Organic Orange Flower Water. It is toning to the skin, refreshing and able to normalize the pH of the skin’s protective acid mantle. It is excellent used with our ROSE FACIAL OIL for toning and cleansing, on rosacea and for hydration.

Hydration is very important for maintaining the moisture content of the skin. Drinking plenty of water each day and applying waters in the form of Hydrosol sprays or toners will help maintain the natural moisture in the complexion. MELISSA SALVE (Lemon Balm) 1 oz MELISSA SALVE can be used on cold sores, bites and as insect repellent. Lemon Balm is sedative, anti microbial and anti-inflammatory.

Melissa officinalis, Lemon Balm’s botanical name is derived from melissa the Greek word for honey bee (Apis Meliffera). As a member of the mint or Lamiaceae family it attracts many bees to its small but nectar laden flowers. The delicately lemon scented leaves are used to make a realxing tea, flavor wine and beer and are used in cooking. Its flavor comes from the terpenes citronellal, citronellol, citral and geraniol. Citral has been demonstrated in studies to be anti-viral and in Germany it is used in creams and ointments to treat herpes and other viral skin conditions.

CALENDULA SALVE 1 oz Calendula is an excellent herb to treat skin injuries including cuts, irritations, wounds, varicosities, rashes, insect bites, burns, dry skin and swellings. Extracts of Calendula have been shown to stimulate circulation in the skin and can help support the treatment of varicosities and phlebitis. The herb’s action is exceptionally gentle as well as effective and is useful for treating and healing diaper rash and cradle cap.
Calendula flowers are fungicidal as well as being antiseptic, antibacterial and astringent and contain many healing compounds; including saponins, carotenoids, lycopine, essential oil, a bitter principle, sterols, flavonoids, resin, mucilage, triterpene glycosides, aglycones, vitamin A and vitamin C.

Calendula flower essence carries warmth and healing energies while Arnica flower essence helps to release trauma in injured tissue. Angelica essence provides a sense of protection and inner strength to aid the healing process.

ROSE GERANIUM HAND & BODY CREAM with LAVENDER LAVENDER & ROSE GERANIUM BODY CREAM is our newest shea butter cream for emollient care of the skin. Both Lavender and Rose Geranium are herbs that smell wonderfully sweet and are calming and soothing to the nervous system and body. Geranium improves the circulation in the skin and Lavender helps promote skin cell growth. Both herbs help balance sebum, the skin’s built in lubricant and softener. The Shea Butter used by SOLUM&HERBE comes from the Ama Serwaa Women’s Cooperative in Ghana, where they harvest and process the nuts of the Shea tree in the traditional manner.
