This year our elderberry bushes produced an abundant crop of glossy black berries. As berries go, elderberries are not very sweet and could be considered medicinal tasting. To make our cordial we combined our elderberries with our own rose glycerin extract and some grain alcohol to make a slightly sweet-tasting cordial packed with all the beneficial properties of elderberries.
