Hydration keeps the skin taught, healthy and smooth. Moisturizers contain a blend of oils and waters. The oil element creates a protective barrier that locks in moisture. Applying a hydrating toning water to the skin followed by a good moisturizer tightens pores, removes cleaner residue and increases the hydration levels of the skin.

Hydrosols are fragrant distilled waters that carry the properties of the plants used in the distillation process. All our toners and splashes are made from hydrosols. We never use alcohol or alcohol based astringents in any of our products.

Note: Enjoy the freshness and uniqueness of our Queen of Hungary’s Water. The scent will vary slightly by season and availability of the plants, however its herbal powers will always be present. The Herbs we use include Roses, Calendula, Lavender, Sage, Violets, Chamomile, Yarrow, Comfrey, Cleavers, Chickweed, Rosemary, English Daisy, Lemon Balm, Self Heal, Elder Flowers and Plantain.

Ylang Ylang, which means ‘flower of flowers’, is a tropical intensely floral scented flower from the tree Cananga odora also known as, the Perfume Tree. Sweet and fragrant Ylang Ylang essential oil scents this soap of vegetable oils, Pink Kaolin clay and Calendula flower petals. In Aromatherapy the scent is calming and mood lifting. In skin care it has a balancing effect on both oily and dry complexions.

The Shea Butter used by SOLUM&HERBE comes from the Dagomba Ah Shayh Women’s Cooperative in Ghana, where they harvest and process the nuts of the Shea tree in the traditional manner. This is a Fair Trade product. The wild grown Shea butter is combined with organic virgin coconut and other oils with herbal extracts that soothe and revive the skin, producing a Body Cream that is more than 90% Organic or wild ingredients.

GREEN TEA Soap is made with Biodynamically grown green tea and give the soap a dark green color, naturally. The scent is refreshing and 'green' from essential oils of Vetiver, Orange and Corriander. The soap is made with a variety of organic vegetable oils, butters and a little beeswax.

ROSE GERANIUM HAND & BODY CREAM with LAVENDER LAVENDER & ROSE GERANIUM BODY CREAM is our newest shea butter cream for emollient care of the skin. Both Lavender and Rose Geranium are herbs that smell wonderfully sweet and are calming and soothing to the body. Both herbs help balance sebum, the skin’s built in lubricant and softener. Both essential oils of Lavender and Rose Geranium are known to relieve discomfort in the body. Teas have antioxidants and tannins that help keep the skin in good repair and give the soap a dark herbal color, naturally.
