NEWS & EVENTS 2009
February 9th, 2009, the last of the two thousand years and next we will begin to use "twenty" as in 2010. But that is next year and this is now. Two thousand and eight was quite a year and all my sources say that 2009 will be a rocking changeable year too. Hold on to your hats and enjoy the ride as we move out into the 21st Century and 2012!
New - coming up very soon will be the anouncement of our SOLUM&HERBE FaceBook page where we will feature simple herbal recipes, herbal tips and a forum to discuss and answer questions from our friends and customers. If you happen upon this before our formal anouncement, go to Face Book and search for SOLUM&HERBE and let us know what you think. There are some pictures of my favorite plants, flowers and herbs and I am assembling a few simple recipes to share.
The Farmer's Market here in Port Townsend begins May 2nd. The begining of the market is always the time of year when people of Port Townsend come back out of their houses and meet and greet their neighbors after the seeminly endless winter! If you will be in the area be sure and stop by. Hours of the market are 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM Saturdays May through most of November. The market is located in uptown accross the street from Aldrich's Market.
Have a wonderful 2009,
Susan M Parker
Port Townsend is a spectacular spot on the Olympic Penninsula with water and beaches all around. Dramatic cloud formations and waterscapes keep us visually interested through out the year. Especially fun is the Wooden Boat Festival on the weekend after Labor Day each September makes good use of the Victorian waterfront that Port Townsend is know for. In addition Port Townsend hosts a number of festivals, both music and cultural through out the summer months. For more information go to: http://www.ptguide.com .
