| Salves and Balms capture natural plant compounds and fragrance in oils and wax thickened to a solid state. Stable and compact, salves are perfect to keep on hand for minor skin problems and irritations, dry skin, lip balms and as a delicate fragrance. We make our own plant infusions each year from our abundant garden. Harvest season lasts all year as we pick and extract each plant at its peak. From the earliest February Violets to the late season Echinacea Root. All the plants and flowers go into Organic Sesame Oil and then into the sun for the ‘Sun Infusion’ process. The oil and sunlight begin the extraction process drawing the rich natural compounds out of the plant material. Once the extraction process is complete, we combine the plant infused sesame oil with beeswax, tropical butters and essential oils and absolutes into naturally fragrant, skin nourishing salves and balms. |
