| The plant world provides a rich and varied pallet for the herbalist to work from. The vast knowledge required to grow and wild craft plants and herbs to make into tinctures, salves, teas, compresses and extractions is an art steeped in history and tradition. With the rise of modern medicine, traditional methods were largely pushed aside in favor of science. Modern science has its place, but then so does the traditional, plant-based practice. Herbalism is seeing a Renaissance as people rediscover the restorative, life-sustaining properties abundantly available in the plant world. At SOLUM&HERBE, we craft salves, creams and tonics from traditionally harvested organic and naturally grown plant extracts to create our wellness line. Each combination grows out of our relationship with the abundant plants that grow so cheerfully in our gentle Pacific northwest garden. Nature inspires us every day providing the foundation and structure for all our work. Natural does not automatically mean safe. We use only gentle plant extracts, but as with any path to wellness, it is always best to work with a trained medical practitioner.
